Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have…


We are never satisfied with what we have, always questioning whether we have enough of something…sleep, money, time, clothes, gadgets, friends, etc.

Here's how it may show up in your life.

For many of us, our first waking thoughts of the day are "I didn't get enough sleep". The next one is "I don't have enough time". We spend many hours of our days explaining, complaining, or worrying about what we don't have enough of. We think we don't have enough exercise in our lives. We don't have enough work. We aren't making enough money. We aren't smart enough. We don't have enough weekends. We're not educated enough, thin enough, pretty enough, or successful enough, EVER.

And if that's not enough (no pun intended) by the time we go to bed we are thinking "I didn't get enough done in the day."

We all unconsciously buy into this fear of scarcity, sometimes for no reason at all.

Try to identify how it shows up in your life.

What we can learn today is that we have a choice about whether or not to buy into believing there is not enough and let it rule our lives.

When you let go of trying to get more then you actually need, it frees up oceans of energy to make a difference with what you already have.

Enjoy what ya got, because in the moment, it is ENOUGH…no need to be afraid, life’s just too short for that. Embrace the things and love around you...it'll feel terrific!
