On Memorial Day (Monday, May 28th), there is a community wide workout that takes place in the CrossFit community.

The workout is called "MURPH".

1mile run
100 pull-ups
200 pushups
300 squats
1mile run
…….wearing a 20# weighted vest

Named after LT. Michael P. Murphy
United States Navy (SEAL)
May 7, 1976 – June 28, 2005
LT. Michael P. Murphy (SEAL) was the officer-in-charge of a four-man SEAL element in support of Operation Red Wings. You can read more on LT. Michael P. Murphy by clicking here.

Sounds like a lot of work huh?! Yep, because it is 💪🏽

And NOT something that one should just show up and do without preparing for, unless you don't value proper use of your arms and legs for the following 5-7 days.

For the next 6 weeks, we will be implementing some "MURPH" preparation workouts on Saturdays. The intent is to help you progressively build volume in the movements that you will be executing on Memorial Day.

Happy Saturday!!!
